BMKG Predicts Rain in Jakarta and Surrounding Areas This Afternoon

TEMPO.COJakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the regions of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi will predominantly be covered with thick clouds and have the potential for light rain on Thursday, October 23, 2025, as cited from the official website bmkg.go.id and BMKG's official Instagram.

BMKG forecasts that thick cloud cover will envelop the entire Jakarta and Thousand Islands area, but there is a possibility of light rain from 13:00 to 16:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time).

Overall, the temperature in the Jakarta region is estimated to range from 24-32 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds of around 1-27 kilometers per hour.

In West Java, light to moderate rain is likely to fall in several areas of Bogor Regency from 07:00 to 16:00 WIB. At the same time, light rain will also pour down on the cities of Bogor, Depok, Bekasi Regency, and Bekasi City.

The temperature in Bogor Regency is around 19-31 degrees Celsius, while in other areas, it ranges from 21-32 degrees Celsius. The blowing wind speed is estimated to range from 5-14 kilometers per hour.

In Banten, thick cloud cover will predominantly envelop Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang City. However, there is a potential for light rain from morning to afternoon until 16:00 WIB. The temperature in these three areas is estimated to range from 23-31 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds of 5-20 kilometers per hour.
