TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta is expected to experience widespread rainfall today, Friday, November 14, 2025, according to Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). Showers are likely across the entire capital, though some areas may see heavier rain than others.

Central Jakarta and West Jakarta are forecast to experience moderate rainfall, while lighter showers are expected in East Jakarta, South Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the nearby Thousand Islands.

Daily temperatures across the city are predicted to range between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius (82-86°F), with humidity peaking at 93 percent in West Jakarta.

The potential for rain extends to surrounding regions as well. Bogor Regency is expected to experience moderate rain, while thunderstorms are possible in Bogor City. In Bekasi, Depok, and the Greater Tangerang area, only light rain is anticipated.

Looking at the weekly forecast for November 14-20, BMKG has not placed Jakarta on alert for heavy or very heavy rainfall. However, an early warning has been issued for strong winds between November 14 and 16, prompting residents to remain cautious.

Authorities advise the public to monitor weather updates closely and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to localized flooding or wind-related hazards. Staying informed and prepared is essential as Jakarta faces rainy conditions today.
