TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto convened a limited cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. The gathering took place shortly after Prabowo attended the inauguration of the Jakarta LRT line connecting Kelapa Gading to Manggarai at Manggarai LRT Station.
On Wednesday evening, a number of cabinet ministers and senior officials arrived at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta for talks with the Head of State, including Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara, and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia.
Also in attendance were Bank Indonesia Governor Destry Damayanti, Head of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) Dony Oskaria, and state oil and gas giant Pertamina Deputy CEO Oki Muraza.
“Today we are meeting with Bapak President to discuss several steps to fulfill our national energy demands,” Energy Minister Bahlil Lahadalia told reporters at the Presidential Palace complex on Wednesday afternoon.
Bahlil claimed that the agenda centers on developing the national biodiesel program beyond the B50 blend. “I will share more after the meeting. One of the topics is we are developing it by leveraging our domestic resources. We will push the program beyond B50,” added Bahlil, who also serves as Chairperson of the Golkar Party.
Speaking on the same occasion, Erick Thohir stated that state-owned enterprises, alongside Pertamina, would present a report to Prabowo. However, he remained tight-lipped regarding specific agenda items. “As usual, we are just providing an update. It's related to Pertamina and energy matters. We can share further details after the meeting,” he said.
