TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The personnel of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Department (Polda Metro Jaya) are still investigating the death of a man named Sutrimo. The victim, who is a native of Banyumas, Central Java, was found dead on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at around 09:00 AM WIB (Western Indonesian Time).
Based on information gathered by Tempo, Sutrimo, 42 years old, is allegedly the head of the household at the residence of the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office (AGO), Febrie Adriansyah.
The Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Department (Polda Metro Jaya), Commissioner Budi Hermanto stated that they will also investigate the victim's connection with several other parties, including the former high-ranking official. "Still being probed," said Budi in his statement to journalists on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The police are currently collecting information and clarifying the incident with the victim's family, ambulance drivers, hospital staff, and other parties who were aware of the incident. Investigators are also examining medical records, the history of ambulance booking, the initial location where Sutrimo was found, as well as other related information.
According to Budi, they are still delving into the chronology of the victim's death. "Because the process is ongoing, we cannot conclude the cause of death yet," said Budi.
Previously, on the day of the incident at around 07:30 AM WIB, the deceased complained of illness to a friend and asked to be taken to the nearest hospital. The friend then took Sutrimo to Mordent Beauty Clinic Building, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta
While at the clinic, Sutrimo was reported to have vomited and foamed at the mouth. The friend then requested an ambulance. However, when the ambulance arrived, Sutrimo had already passed away.
Observations by Tempo at the clinic location showed that the building was no longer operational. Information from several residents in the area said that the clinic had been closed for a long time and was uninhabited.
Bhayangkara Community Security and Order Maintainer or Bhabinkamtibmas personnel in the vicinity said that the clinic was suspected to have a connection with Febrie Adriansyah. However, investigators are still delving into this information.
The police urge the public not to speculate or spread unverified information. The police state that they will provide updates on the investigation results after obtaining accountable facts.
Tempo sought to confirm the news that Sutrimo was the head of the household of the former Deputy Attorney General, Febrie Adriansyah. Febrie's lawyer, Febri Diansyah, responded to messages sent by Tempo, but did not answer questions regarding Sutrimo.
