Tom Holland Teases 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' in New Sneak Peek

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Actor Tom Holland has provided a sneak peek at the upcoming superhero film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, revealing how the fourth Spider-Man film differs from the previous three.

According to Deadline on Monday, citing ANTARA, the main actor of Spider-Man: Brand New Day said that the fourth Spider-Man film is very relevant to young people.

"It’s more mature, and it’s a darker theme," he said while attending the premiere of the Sony Pictures production in Los Angeles, United States.

"And it’s a theme that I think is incredibly relatable to young people," he said.

Holland said that Spider-Man: Brand New Day tells the story of moving to a new city, which can make people feel alone. "This idea of moving to a new city and feeling like you’re all alone, and sometimes neglecting the fact that the best thing that ever happened to you is standing right next to you," she said.

"I think for me, being able to tell a story that’s relatable on a stage as big as this is such an important responsibility for Destin [Daniel Cretton] to carry that theme throughout the movie. I was just really excited at the opportunity," he added.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film's cast includes Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for release in Indonesian cinemas on July 29, 2026.

According to the synopsis of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the film depicts Peter Parker fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that has forgotten him. He watches his old friends move on without him.
