TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - One of the destinations in Singapore, Snow City, offers various exciting attractions during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year period. One of them is a themed ice village called "A Little Christmas Village."
Tempo visited the indoor snow center in Singapore on Tuesday, October 18, 2025. Besides many new attractions, the room temperature now feels colder than before.
Norazani Shaiddin, the general manager of Snow City Singapore, said that the temperature change is one of the new features of this ice amusement park. "There will definitely be differences every year, for example, in the temperature. If it used to be an average of minus 5, now maybe it's minus 8," said Norazani.
Ice sculptures stand majestically with various variations in the area before the entrance. Artists carve sculptures from blocks of ice.
According to Tempo observation, several carving workers are still busy shaping other sculptures, especially those prepared to enliven the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations. "It only takes four to six hours to work on one sculpture," said one of the workers carving the ice.
Christmas Carol and Santa
Norazani said that this year's moments are more focused on the Christmas and New Year holidays. Apart from "A Little Christmas Village," Snow City also prepares Christmas Carol, Santa, and a Meet and Greet Santa. "The invited Santa comes from Russia," said Norazani.
Santa is scheduled to appear on December 25, 2025, precisely on Christmas Day. A Christmas Carol will also be performed on the same date. "Another new thing here is the snowfall. Visitors can enjoy real snow falling. Usually, people use soap bubbles," he said.
Snow City also offers games where children can build their own snowmen. A snowman package costs an additional 10 Singapore dollars. "We provide the equipment so that they can decorate their own snowman," he said.
