TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Chair of Perindo Party, Angela Tanoesoedibjo, has affirmed her party's support for Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto's programs. Angela revealed this during the national working meeting (Rakernas) as well as the 11th anniversary of the Perindo Party in Jakarta on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Angela stated that the meeting aimed to enhance synergy with the government and other political parties. "In this Rakernas, we have formulated eleven strategic steps of the Perindo Party to support the administration of President Prabowo Subianto," Angela said during the event held in Ancol, North Jakarta.
Angela expressed her support for Prabowo extends to his strategic programs. The daughter of the Chair of the Unity Council of the Perindo Party, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, specifically mentioned the free nutritious meals program (MBG), the Red and White Village Cooperatives, and the People's Schools.
During the Rakernas, the Perindo Party also launched the Public Report on the Performance of the Regional Representatives Council (DPRD) of the Perindo Party. "As a form of our accountability to the public and as a measure to ensure that Perindo Party members work hard in safeguarding the ideals of President Prabowo," she added.
At the Rakernas, Angela also quoted Prabowo Subianto. "If we have a belief, if we have a sincere intention, if we have noble aspirations, God willing, the path will be given to us to do good," she quoted.
Angela mentioned that the quote was from one of Prabowo's speeches at a party event hosted by the president's party, Gerindra Party. Angela admitted that those words have left a lasting impression on her and all Perindo Party members.
In the 2024 presidential election, Perindo supported the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md pair along with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and the United Development Party (PPP). However, their candidate lost to the pair of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who then became the president and vice president.
After the presidential election, Perindo has repeatedly signaled its support for the Prabowo-Gibran administration. This support is now reinforced through Angela's statement in this month's Rakernas.
