TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Head of Human Resources Development at the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), Boni Pudjianto, said the general public is welcome to provide input on the National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Roadmap. This roadmap will serve as a reference for AI implementation in Indonesia.
"We have a clear foundation for the future direction of AI, because there are high demands for them in various sectors," he said at the Graduation of AI Warriors event in Jakarta on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
In addition to the AI Roadmap, Komdigi also provides the Concept of Ethical Guidelines for Artificial Intelligence. Both documents are accessible to the public, and the input can be given via e-mail.
Boni said that almost all fields have adopted AI for daily needs, although there may still be other aspects untouched by the technology.
Nevertheless, Boni said, due to the rapid changes in AI technology, the roadmap only laid out plans for five years ahead. "Every minute, there are changes, innovations," he said.
The Indonesian AI Roadmap was compiled by 443 individuals consisting of government practitioners, academics, industry professionals, community groups, and the media.
The document outlines four focuses to be developed within the AI roadmap according to the Guidelines for the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), which are strengthening the involvement of various parties, innovation development, enhancing technology capabilities and capacities, research, and innovation, as well as risk mitigation.
