TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian climbers Raharjati Nursamsa and Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi secured gold medals in the speed category at the IFSC Climbing World Cup Krakow 2025 in Poland on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
Raharjati made an impressive appearance in the men's speed final. He claimed victory by defeating his compatriot, Kiromal Katibin, with a time of 4.73 seconds.
Kiromal, who fell, won the silver medal. Meanwhile, the bronze medal went to Japanese climber Ryo Omasa, who finished in 5.48 seconds after defeating Zach Hammer from the United States in the small final.
Raharjati expressed his joy in reclaiming the gold after two years. "I was solely focused on climbing as fast as possible and not letting the pressure get to me," he said in an official statement after the competition.

Meanwhile, Desak Made Rita added to Indonesia's gold medal haul in the women's speed category, finishing with a time of 6.27 seconds in the final.
Desak defeated American climber Emma Hunt, who completed the course in 7.56 seconds. The bronze medal went to Polish climber Aleksandra Miroslaw, who defeated Natalia Kalucka with a time of 6.36 seconds.
Desak's victory signifies her consistency at the international stage, following a series of previous achievements in several World Cup events.
Secretary-General of the Indonesian Climbing Federation (PP FPTI), Wahyu Pristiawan Buntoro, said the two gold medals and one silver in Krakow are evidence that Indonesia remains a major force in the world of speed climbing.
"This is the result of the athletes and coaching staff's hard work. We are grateful to be able to maintain our achievements and continue to progress to the next competition," said Pristiawan.
