TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian U-17 national team will take part in the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025, which will be held in Qatar from November 3 to 27, 2025. In the draw results released by the organizing committee, Young Garuda is grouped in Group H with Brazil, Zambia, and Honduras.
The 2025 edition of the tournament is being participated in by 48 teams from six confederations and is divided into 12 groups (A-L). Each group consists of four teams. The top two teams from each group will automatically advance to the round of 32, while the eight best third-placed teams will also qualify for the knockout phase.
All matches will take place in the Aspire Zone area of the city of Al Rayyan, which has several venues for matches. The final match is scheduled to take place at the Khalifa International Stadium, Al Rayyan, with a capacity of 45,857 spectators.
The team coached by Nova Arianto will play three group stage matches. The first match will be against Zambia on November 4, 2025, followed by a match against Brazil three days later, and will conclude with a game against Honduras on November 10, 2025.
Indonesia's first two matches will take place at Pitch 7, Aspire Zone, while the final match will be played at Pitch 2.
Before the tournament, the Indonesian U-17 national team had undergone extensive preparations, including training camps in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and three friendly matches in Dubai as a simulation before the competition. This will be Indonesia's second time participating in the FIFA U-17 World Cup. They previously hosted the event in 2023.
