TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Immigration and Correction (Imipas) will provide free passport processing for flood victims in Sumatra whose passports are lost or damaged. Minister of Immigration and Correction Agus Andrianto announced this after dispatching logistics aid to victims of ecological disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Agus stated that he had instructed the Director General of Immigration to issue a Ministerial Decision (Kepmen) regarding the policy plan.

"To the victims who have experienced this disaster with damaged or lost passports, I have conveyed to the Director General to issue a Kepmen so that replacement can be done free of charge later on," said Agus at his office in South Jakarta.

Today, the Ministry of Immigration sent humanitarian aid to the three provinces affected by flash floods and landslides. Agus stated that this humanitarian aid would be sent through the Navy.

"As a follow-up to the President's directives, we all sympathize and have a social obligation to contribute to alleviating the suffering of friends who may still not have received assistance," said Agus.

The aid sent includes 20 tons of rice, 1,500 pairs of women's underwear, 3,120 sanitary napkins for women, and 3,152 diapers for children. Then, there are 9,200 cans of milk, 2,660 cans of sardines, 2,000 boxes of instant noodles, and 2,000 cans of biscuits. Agus hopes that through this aid, his ministry can contribute to the communities in these three provinces.
