TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) will eliminate the minimum stock price of Rp50 starting from September 28, 2026. Consequently, stock prices could drop to as low as Rp1 per share. In line with this, IDX also adjusted the Auto Rejection limit.
These two provisions are regulated in two IDX Board of Directors Decisions numbered Kep-00136/BEI/09-2026 and Kep-000137/BEI/09-2026. Both decisions were issued on Monday, September 21, 2026, and will take effect on Monday, September 28, 2026.
“With this change, stocks that were previously priced at Rp50 can be traded within a wider price range to improve the quality of price discovery, encourage increased liquidity, and provide market players with flexibility in managing their investment portfolios,” said IDX Corporate Secretary Elsierra Putri Yosita in an official statement on Monday, September 21, 2026.
As for the Auto Rejection Up (ARU) and Auto Rejection Down (ARD) provisions in effect until December 31, 2026, they still maintain an asymmetric ARD of 15 percent for equity securities with prices above Rp10. Meanwhile, in line with the adjustment of the minimum price limit to Rp1, the ARU and ARD for securities priced between Rp1 and Rp10 are also set at Rp1.
Furthermore, starting January 1, 2027, IDX will re-implement symmetric ARD provisions. The ARD is set at 35 percent for stocks from Rp11 to Rp200, 25 percent for stocks from Rp200 to Rp5,000, and 20 percent for stocks above Rp5,000.
Previously, IDX Development Director Iding Pardi assessed that eliminating the stock price limit would have limited impact on the market. Because transactions of stocks below Rp50 are insignificant. “So even if the limit is lifted and transactions occur, the expected impact on the market is also limited,” he told reporters at the IDX Building on Friday, September 18, 2026.
