TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's tech giant PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GoTo) records Rp5.9 trillion in net income from online ojek and food delivery services, or on-demand services, in the first half of 2025, up from Rp4.8 trillion in the same period last year.
GoTo's revenue from both two-wheeled and four-wheeled online taxi services was perched at Rp1.4 trillion, while revenue from food delivery, logistics, and quick commerce businesses amounted to Rp4.5 trillion.
During the second quarter of 2025, the Gross Transaction Value (GTV) of GoTo's on-demand services logged growth by 9 percent y-o-y to Rp16.4 trillion. Throughout the first half of the year, GoTo's GTV reached Rp32 trillion.
Overall, GoTo recorded a net revenue of Rp4.3 trillion in the second quarter of 2025, marking a 23 percent growth y-o-y from Rp3.6 trillion during the same period last year.
GoTo's CEO Patrick Walujo said the company achieved new records during the second quarter of 2025, attributed to the firm's investments in technology infrastructure, cloud migration, and artificial intelligence (AI) development.
He stated, "We remain firmly on track to meet our guidance as we seek to create a sustainable, customer-centric, technology business that supports the livelihoods of countless driver-partners and merchants across Indonesia," at the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
In the first half of 2025, GoTo recorded a 43 percent growth in the core group's GTV, reaching Rp89.8 trillion. The adjusted EBITDA profit reached Rp427 billion from a loss position in 2024, while the on-demand service recorded an adjusted EBITDA of Rp328 billion, a 264 percent surge.
GoTo's operating profit was recorded at Rp21 billion, reducing current losses by 77 percent y-o-y to Rp222 billion.
Meanwhile, GoTo's Chief Financial Officer, Simon Ho, said the company's performance in the second quarter, or first half of 2025 confirmed its operational strength. On the other hand, he also claimed that this record is in line with the company's strategy. He said, "We delivered record Group adjusted EBITDA at Rp427 billion and a positive adjusted operating cash flow of Rp313 billion."
According to Simon, these achievements were supported by top-line growth and cost efficiencies across the ecosystem. "As we scale, we’re unlocking operating leverage and applying strict financial discipline to sustain profitability, while driving long-term shareholder value," he added.
