TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has warned Jakarta residents and its surrounding areas about rainfall potential on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, 2025. Rainfall with strong winds is expected in the afternoon across parts of South Jakarta, East Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands.
Citing the daily weather forecast from BMKG, cloudy weather will cover most parts of Greater Jakarta on early Thursday, while drizzles are forecast in parts of the Seribu Islands and North Jakarta.
Until 01:00 p.m. local time, partly cloudy weather will gradually transform to mostly cloudy with some light rain in parts of Bogor Regency and City, Tangerang Regency, and Bekasi Regency.
From afternoon to evening, light-intensity rain likely to pour across the entire Greater Jakarta area. Meanwhile, moderate to heavy-intensity rain is predicted to occur in parts of Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, Bekasi Regency, and Bogor Regency.
With 70-92 percent air humidity, the air temperature in the Jabodetabek area ranges from 24-32 degrees Celsius, while the temperature in Bogor City and Regency is lower, ranging from 20-30 degrees Celsius.
