TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United are set to compete for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian’s future could become the biggest transfer story of the weekend.
At the same time, five Italian clubs are reportedly eyeing Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund. Below is a summary of Wednesday’s European transfer market news, August 13, 2025.
Donnarumma’s Possible Exit from PSG
Manchester City is prepared to sign PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma if Ederson leaves the Etihad. RMC Sport reported that City’s interest came after rumors linking Manchester United to the Italian number one. Donnarumma’s contract with PSG runs until the end of the 2025–2026 season.
The report added that Galatasaray has agreed to personal terms with Ederson. Earlier, RMC Sport revealed that Chelsea had also entered the race.
The latest update suggests PSG will accept an offer of £26 million, or around Rp 592 billion. The club intends to let Donnarumma go after securing a replacement, Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier.
Donnarumma reportedly prefers a move to the Premier League if he leaves Parc des Princes. Manchester City has also re-signed James Trafford from Burnley, with plans for him to be the first-choice keeper, but Donnarumma’s arrival could change those plans.
Tottenham and Arsenal Battle for Eze
Tottenham Hotspur is ready to challenge Arsenal in the race for Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze. According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are keen on the 27-year-old despite recently signing Savinho from Manchester City.
Eze’s contract includes a release clause allowing him to leave Selhurst Park for £68 million, or about Rp 1.49 trillion. This clause will expire two weeks before the transfer window closes. Arsenal is also interested but must sell players before making a formal move.
Italian Clubs Target Hojlund
Five Italian teams are monitoring Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund. Inter Milan, Juventus, Napoli, and AS Roma have joined AC Milan in showing interest in the 22-year-old Dane.
The Red Devils are reportedly willing to sell him after signing Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. Previous reports suggested an offer of around £40 million, or roughly Rp 877 billion, could seal the deal.
AS Roma Pursues Sancho
AS Roma has made an offer for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho. The Serie A side would need to present a €20 million bid to secure the 25-year-old.
Sancho scored seven goals in 31 Premier League matches last season while on loan at Chelsea. Juventus is also interested but will only make a move if they first offload Nico Gonzalez.
Liverpool Searching for a Defender
Liverpool is targeting Parma defender Giovanni Leoni. The 18-year-old has emerged as the club’s second-choice option as they continue their search for a centre-back. The Reds are considering Leoni as an alternative if they fail to sign Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi.
Several Serie A clubs, including AC Milan and Inter Milan, are also tracking Leoni. The Italy U-19 international made a strong impression in 17 league appearances last season.
