TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has warned residents of Jakarta and its surrounding areas about the potential of rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds later this afternoon on Tuesday, 2 December 2025. This prediction is focused on the Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) area, which are the South, East, and West Jakarta, as well as the entire area of Tangerang, South Tangerang City, Depok City, as well as the entire Bekasi and Bogor.
Referring to the 24-hour weather forecast provided by BMKG, the Jabodetabek area is still covered by thick clouds since early morning. There is a possibility of light rain only in the Thousand Islands area. The air humidity for the next day is estimated to range from 70 to 90 percent.
By 7:00 AM WIB (Western Indonesian Time) until midday, the Regency and City of Bekasi, as well as Bogor City, are expected to experience light rain. Other areas in Jabodetabek may remain cloudy, with some areas covered by thick clouds.
Rain is expected to become widespread from 1:00 PM WIB until 7:00 PM WIB later. The potential for rain, which could be accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds, exists in most parts of Jakarta and its four satellite cities, as forewarned by BMKG.
The temperature in the Jabodetabek area today is around 26-33 degrees Celsius. Only in Bogor City and Regency, the temperature is milder, around 24 to 32 degrees Celsius. The winds blow southwest with varying speeds in Jakarta and its surrounding areas, with the strongest reaching up to 34 kilometers per hour.
