The Indonesian contingent added 11 gold medals on the fifth day of the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) 2025, Saturday, December 13. This addition propelled the Red and White Team to second place in the medal tally, displacing Vietnam.
As reported by Antara, Indonesia has now collected a total of 31 gold medals, 46 silver medals, and 41 bronze medals. Thailand, leading the medal tally, further solidified their position with a collection of 92 gold medals, 61 silver medals, and 39 bronze medals.
Vietnam slipped to third place, trailing Indonesia by only one gold medal. Vietnam has garnered a total of 30 gold medals, 27 silver medals, and 54 bronze medals.
Singapore still holds the fourth position in the temporary medal tally with the addition of four gold medals on Saturday. The Lion City now has a total of 19 gold medals, 19 silver medals, and 26 bronze medals.
On Saturday, several sports added gold medals for Indonesia. Dwi Laila Mubarokah excelled in the 10M Air Rifle Women's event in shooting. Shooting also contributed gold through the Indonesian women's air rifle team consisting of Laila Mubarokah, Dominique Rachmawati Karini, and Yasmin Giglia Achadi in the 10M air rifle women's team event.
In the weightlifting category, Luluk Diana won gold in the 48kg women's event. The judo category also impressed as I Made Sastra Dharma secured gold in the men's 90 kg event.
In sport climbing, Indonesia harvested two gold medals in the men's and women's speed climbing events through the performances of Robby Al Hilmi and Puja Lestari. From the athletics category, Maria Londa once again secured gold for Indonesia. Additional gold medals were attained in the taekwondo category, particularly in the men's 74 kg event by Arya Danu Susilo.
In the tennis category, the Indonesian men's tennis team, led by Christoper Rungkat and team, garnered gold. This positive result was followed by Aldila Sutjiadi and team who secured gold in the women's team tennis event.
